Dental Worktops Alpine White

Our second project for Shifnal Dental Care near Telford: a full surgery fit-out in LG Hi-Macs Alpine White, giving the practice a clean, bright, all-white clinical surface that runs continuously around the room.

The wash-hand station is built around a seamless Hi-Macs CB422 round bowl, thermoformed into the worktop with no rim or visible joint. A second, larger CS454 square sink serves the working end of the run, again bonded seamlessly so the transition from worktop to bowl is smooth and easy to wipe down. This is the detail that matters under HTM 01-05, which asks for clinical work surfaces to be impervious, easily cleanable and jointless as far as is reasonable — a bonded solid surface sink has no rim gap or silicone line for contaminants to collect in.

The worktop returns along the adjacent wall with a curved cut-out that sweeps around the dental chair position, keeping the surface within reach of the operator without intruding into the working area. Coved upstands in the same material run along every wall, so the worktop-to-wall junction is a continuous radius rather than a sealed right-angle corner. At the open end, the worktop finishes with a slab end leg to the floor in matching Alpine White — a single clean panel with no visible fixings that closes off the run and supports the top without a cabinet beneath.

The practice came back to us having used us before, and we templated, fabricated and installed the worktops ready for the chair and equipment to be connected.
