A: Solid surface is an engineered material made from acrylic resins and mineral fillers.
It is non-porous throughout, which means it does not harbour bacteria, absorb moisture or trap disinfectants at joins or edges.
It can be seamlessly fabricated with heat-welded invisible joins, integrated sinks and coved upstands – all of which are required in a clinical dental environment.
Laminate and tiled surfaces are not appropriate for dental use because of exposed joins and porous grout lines.
A: We work with all the major brands and will always recommend the best fit for your project.
Our preferred material is LG Hi-Macs – an approved fabricator relationship that allows us to offer excellent value for money without any compromise on quality or longevity.
Hi-Macs matches the clinical performance of better-known brands such as Corian in every respect: it is NSF certified, non-porous, seamlessly fabricated and fully repairable on site.
If your project specifies Corian, Staron or another brand, we can supply and fit those too.
A: Yes. All the solid surface brands we work with – including LG Hi-Macs, Corian and Staron – offer extensive colour ranges covering clinical whites, warm neutrals and contemporary tones.
